… in the history of the church.
And God's wanting his people to know Him in the depth, the width, the length and the heighth. He is wanting us to know His love, and to know His presence, but He'll never forsake us, He'll never leave us. Though he is an infinitely great and mighty God and He is a God of love and is a God of goodness and a God of forgiveness, that's how much He loves us. Amen
Let's just pray. Thank you musicians. Thank you Father. (pause…Music stops. )
Father I just thank you for this time and Holy Spirit we just welcome you. We just thank you for your presence. And Father I just come against any religious and traditional spirit. I bind it in Jesus name. This meeting's is loosed from it in Jesus' name.
Father that your Word is life. That we take your Word. That its healing, that it's deliverance, that it's freedom, that it's strength.
Father I thank you that our hearts open to receive the word today, that our ears are open to hear and to receive the word today. Father, that we jump in the river, Father, and what you're doing in this time. That our lives are sanctified unto you, that we give our lives as a sacrifice of praise. That we walk in that, that we hear our words, Father. That they're alive and they're living, Father. They're words of edification, words of exhortation, words of deliverance for people's lives Father. Because you are a great mighty God and you haven't shortened your arm, you're the same yesterday, today and forever.
And Father, I thank you for the freshness of your word today Father. Father, we be doers of the word and not hearers only. That word be strength today and life to your people, Father. That it sets them free, that it brings deliverance, it brings healing and wholeness. It brings prosperity Father. And Holy Spirit, I just thank you that you rise up big in me today. That you draw out of me, Father that which they need to hear today for their lives that it be life changing, I ask it in Jesus' name. Amen
(Preaching tone.) Well the Lord woke me in the middle of the night last night, are we on, yes? Can you hear me, yes? And I had another message. But the Lord gave to me a message in the middle of the night and so I got up very early this morning before the Lord and I was meditating it in the middle of the night and the message he has given me is 'Love forgives'.
And, (ah) you know that the bible says 'Love is far greater than faith and hope'. Faith won't work without love. And faith won't work without hope. Love and faith go hand in hand. Do you know we can know a lot about faith, we can know a lot about words, and we can take faith and speak with faith but if we are not walking in love, faith won't work.
So I want us to open our Bible at 1 John 4:8 'Charity love means benevolent goodwill towards all, or love of humanity' The actual Greek word here is "Agape", which means the love of God.
You know people look at love and say, a lot of people get married out of fleshly love, out of sexual love. And God's love is not sexual love. And God's love is just not words. God's love is when our recreated spirit is born again and God comes to live on the inside of us. That his love nature comes into us. Sexual love won't last very long if a marriage is just built on sexual love. A marriage is built out of friendship. A marriage is built out of communication, it's not just jumping into bed together. And that's where a lot of the world get it wrong today. They think the sexual side is everything, but praise God for the sexual side.
And I tell you, when God's love comes in on the sexual side, I tell you, your marriage will be far greater than when you married out, out of the earthly love. (Person from Congregation: Amen) Amen, because God brings such love into your marriage between two people that you think "Goodness, God, where have we been, what did, how, what did we ever get married on". Because God's love is in us and His nature is in us, and God loves us so much that He wants us to walk in His love and I tell you, the more you walk in love, it's a faith walk also but love and faith go hand in hand.
1.John 4:8 'He who does not love has not become acquainted with God, does not and never did know Him for God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest displayed where we are concerned, in that God sent his Son the only begotten or unique Son into the world so that we might live through Him.'
So if Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life out there, the love of God is in you, the nature of God, His love is in you. And we develop that love, we develop the fruit of the spirit. We develop that love in our life, but we have to do that. We have to take the word of God and we have to develop in our life. And I just want us to turn to 1.Corinthians 13, and I'm going to read it out of the amplified (long pause ..) 1.Corinthians 13, and I'm going to start at verse 4 out of the amplified.
'Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful nor vain glorious; does not display itself haughtily; it is not conceited, arrogant and inflated with pride; it is not rude, unmannerly, it does not act unbecomingly. Love, God's love in us does not insist on its own rights or its own way for it is not self seeking, it is not touchy or fretful or resentful. It takes no account of evil done to it; pays no attention to a suffered wrong. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes. It is ever ready to believe the best of every person; its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances and endures everything without weakening'.
Now I'm going to read it out of the, out of 'The Message', and you know I believe God gave me this whether it's a preventive medicine for some with Christmas coming, and busy times coming. God always gives us either for now, or something for the future for preventive medicine. And if we take the Word of God and we start to do it and we start to put it in our lives, and we guard our hearts and we guard our minds, I tell you we don't have to fall into the trap that you might have fell in last week or the year before. If we take hold of the Word of God and we start to do it, and we start to speak it forth, if we start to meditate it, we start to put it into our life; I tell you, it becomes a part of our life and when things come in our life, because they will come, trials, tribulation comes, offences comes, hurt comes, rejection comes, bitterness will come, anger, those things are there in the world. Just because you are born again and you are walking with the Lord, don't think they are not going to come, because the Satan needs people to work through, that's how he works through. God needs people to work through but Satan needs people to work through.
And when people go off course and things happen, you know you look in this nation, there's over 10,000 pastors not in ministry today. You look at people all around the churches, back slidden, hurt, broken, wounded, not in churches today. Because the Word of God hadn't developed to the knowledge and the fullness that God wants it to develop in their life, that when those trials and tribulations come that they know how to deal with it. And if we don't learn and know how to deal with things, we'll never walk in victory in our life. And in the, 'The Message', "the way of love".
'If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. If I speak God's word with power, revealing all His mysteries and making everything plain as a day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain "jump" and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've got nowhere.
So no matter what I say, what I believe and what I do I'm bankrupt without love. Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for itself. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut. Love doesn't have a swelled head. Love doesn't force itself on others; isn't always 'me first'. Love doesn't fly off the handle, doesn't keep score of the sins of others. Love doesn't revel when others grovel, takes pleasure in the flowering of truth. Love puts up with anything; trust God always. Love always looks for the best. Love never looks back. Love but keeps going to the end. Love never dies, inspired speech will be over some day. Praying in tongues will end, understanding will reach its limits. We know only a portion of the truth and what we say about God is always incomplete, but when the complete but when the complete arrives our incompleteness will be cancelled. When I was an infant at my mother's breast I gurgled and cooed like an infant. When I grew up I felt those infant, … left those infant ways for good. We don't yet see things clearly. We're squinting in the fog. Peering through a mist but it won't be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright. We'll see it all then, see it all as clearly as God sees us, knowing him directly just as he knows us.'
'But for right now until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us towards that consumption. Trust, steadily in God. Hope, unswervingly. Love extravagantly and the best of the three is love.'
You know I often (ah) when I'm teaching in healing hands, healing school, I talk about unforgiveness in there. If we have unforgiveness in our life and Mark 11:25 says 'If there's unforgiveness in our life, we will receive nothing'. And that's right after Mark 11:23, 24, 25. If there's areas in our life there, that we haven't dealt with. If there's areas there that are holding us. If there's offence there in our life. If there's hurts there in our life. We need to deal with it because God has given us a way to deal with it.
That word "offence" I want you to just listen here. "Any public wrong or crime, annoyance, displeasure, resentment, anger" You know Peter denied Jesus three times and Jesus forgave him because He loved him. Love covers a multitude of sins. Let's just look to Luke 17:1 to 4. (pause …)
Luke 17:1 to 4. 'And Jesus said to his disciples 'Temptations, that is snares, traps, set to entice to sin, are sure to come, but woe to him by or through him they come. It would be more profitable for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were hurled into the sea. Than that he should cause to sin, or be a snare to one of these little ones, lowly in rank or influence. Pay attention and always be on your guard, looking out for one another. If your brother sins and misses the mark ,solemnly tell him so and improve him and if he repents, feel sorry for having sinned, forgive him and even if he sins against you seven times in a day and turns to you seven times and says "I repent, I am sorry" you must forgive him, that is, give up resentment and consider the offence as recalled and annulled.'
You know we need to, I really believe God saying something to his people in this time and we want to go on to another phase in God, whether its in your own personal life, whether its in your family or families, or whether it's in the church, the church to go to another phase, in our young, whatever area in your life God's wanting you to take another step to go on. He wants that Word of God to be so real to you and in your life that when somebody comes along and takes hold of something, you will be able to say "No, I'm not taking that."
You look there in verse 3, it says 'Pay attention and ALWAYS be on your guard.' And do you know if we are on guard in the area of the mind, because the mind is a battle field and I've been teaching on that in 'healing hands' in the area of the mind because that's where it all starts. Somebody will come along and say something to you, and if your mind is on guard to it, you'll nip it right here in this area of the mind. But if you start to go away meditating it and you start to think on it and you are going over it and you're chewing over it "Why did that say that to me? Why did they do that to me?" I tell you that it will get down into the heart here and that's what He is saying there, He said 'Pay attention and always be on your guard', looking out for one another, because if you don't be on guard what'll happen it'll get down into your spirit man. It'll get down into your heart and, and it'll become a part of you. It says there in verse 4 'And even if he sins against you 7 times and turns to you 7 times and says "I repent, I am sorry" you must forgive him'. Give up resentment.
You know where you can have from a child, there'll be things that'll come against your life. And hurts and resentment or offences from the time you were a child. You know a lot of the body of Christ and us in the faith, we say, well, in 2.Corinthians 5:17 'Old things are passed away and all things become new. I am a new creature in Christ Jesus'. But you know if you've been abused as a child. And you've been sexually abused or there's been resentment and you've been put down all your life, I tell you what, you won't be able to put a bandaid over those areas. You have to look at the roots in your life. You've gotta look at that root and say "Yes Lord, I was put down as a child, there was resentment in my life as a child, there was offence in my life as a child and every time offence comes again, what do I do with it? It's like it still hurts me, it still hits me in the heart. Why does it?" Because often people just put a, a bandaid, if you put a bandaid over a boil, it will fester and it will explode. You can't put a bandaid over it. You've gotta look into the mirror of the word. You've got to dig into the Word of God. You've got to get the Holy spirit in that area, "Holy Spirit, why do I have trouble with anger in my life?" "Holy spirit, why is there trouble in my life in the area of resentment?" "Holy Spirit, why is there trouble in my life in the area of offence?" "Why do I hurt when somebody comes along and says some'm (something) to me? Why is it?"
And that's when you get into prayer with the Holy Spirit. That's when you get into the Word of God and that you start to find out the Scriptures in those areas of your life where you've been abused, where you've been hurt, where you dig in there and you start to just look. And that's where you get the Scriptures in that area of your life where you've had problems. It might be somebody said to you all your life "Oh, you'll never have any finance." And, and you're living in that poverty mentality. You need to break that. Then you need to get the Scriptures in that area of your life and start to have a Kingdom mentality in those areas, whether it's offence or whatever it is. Whether it's resentment, whether it's hurt; where things have come against your life and, and take hold of that; and put the Word of God in. and dig the old out, and put the new in and as you put the new, the new in, it will overtake the word of the old and those things have been spoken over your life or you've been abused and, sexually abused, whatever area of your life, it works exactly the same way.
But we have to do it. And you have to speak it. You have to meditate it. You have to go over it. You have to, where offence has come, you've gotta start getting into the love Scripture. There's love sheets out there on that table and start to memorise it. Start to speak it. "I take no offence to a suffered wrong." "I am patient and I'm kind." "I am love, I am gentle, I am not self seeking." And, and start to speak it, "Lord, I am the temple of the Holy Spirit, Your love nature is in me. I walk in love. No offence." And pray for the people, pray for the people that have hurt you. And forgive them and start to walk and to pray for them, and you'll see the Holy Spirit, He'll heal that down in there that's been hurt, that's got right into you.
That's why even grief, people that've had loss, and there's nothing wrong in mourning, but as long as you guard your mind in that area. If you let it get down into your heart, I tell you, grief will hold you captivity all the days of your life. You will never walk in the fullness of what God's got for you. You'll never reach into that realm that He wants you to reach in, because grief will hold you - somebody needs to hear this - grief will hold you down in the spirit because you'll become so grieved, you'll never have the joy, you'll never have the strength because you've been abused down in here, you've abused yourself with grief.
I always remember Kenneth Copeland saying the Lord showed him when his mum died, he was very very close to his mum. He mourned, but God told him not to go any further because it was gettin(g) right down into the spirit man, and that was wrong. Once it got down in there, that grieving had to finish. And that's why when the Word of God, the power is in the word, and that's when we take hold of the Word of God, that it becomes a part of us that we don't let those things, because they'll become a stumbling block to your life.
And all of us have different areas, all of us have weaknesses of some kind, and that's why you take hold of that word, that it doesn't get down, because we are a spirit. We live in a body, and we have a soul, which is the area of the mind is a battle field. Our real us is our spirit man. God is spirit. The word is spirit. The Holy Spirit lives in our spirit and what we meditate is so important. That's why the Lord says in that Scripture there 'Pay attention and always be on your guard'. We guard our mind because if we go over and over and over and over those things, they'll get down into the heart of man, into the spirit and then its hard to deal with, and that's when your emotions, that's when your feelings, that's where everything runs wild. And we don't live by our feelings and emotions; praise God for them but we want to live by the feelings and the emotions and the presence of God. We want to live by those feelings and the emotions of love, and that's why some people let those things get down in there, and then their heart gets hard and they say "Why is my heart hard?"
Then we need to guard, we need to judge ourselves daily. We need to walk in that place. Repentance means change. A quality decision. A change of mind. And when strife comes in, envy comes, alcoholism, any of those areas; homosexuality, any of those areas. I remember, and there's a man probably sitting here this morning, he said something to me a few weeks ago, and he said "You know, it would, would have been a year ago that you said something." I said "A friend of mind who is a great tennis player, and he had an alcoholic problem, and some friends come along and they, they all cared about him, they loved him, and that's how we should be". This is the world I'm talking about. Care about one another. Love about one another. Want to see the best for, for one another. Came along to him and said "We want you to go into one of those places where you dry out" and he said "No. I'm not going". He said, and he had become an alcoholic, and he actually said that day, and he was a strong person and I know him, and he said "I'm making a quality decision to give up today" and he has never had a drink since, and this is 6 years later. He made a quality decision.
We make quality decisions in our life, whatever area is in our life. We've gotta make a quality decision and we're never gunna (going to) get offended again. We've got to make a quality decision that we're not gonna (going to) get into strife again. We, that's why we grow in the knowledge of the Word of God. That's where most people LACK, because they haven't come into the, the knowledge of the Word of God in some areas.
Often it's not unbelief, and it's not faith, we have a measure of faith. We have a spirit of faith, so we already have faith. We haven't come into the, the knowledge of some areas to grow in the fullness of what God wants for us, but when it comes to repentance, it's a turning away from. It's making a quality decision, Lord, "I am not gunna (going to) go back into the old, God, I'm not gunna (going to) complain any more, I'm not gunna (going to) gripe any more, I'm not gunna (going to) criticise any more. Father, I'm just gunna (going to) walk in your word and I make that quality decision" Because if you don't make a quality decision you'll stumble in it again. And everything we do in life is a quality decision. When we walk across the road, we make a decision to walk across the, the road, we look to see if there's no cars coming and then we walk across the road. We have to make a decision when we walk across the road.
It's so good to write it down when you made that quality decision. A lot of, in the front of my bible I've got lots of dates and things and times there, when I've made decisions in my area of my life that I was gunna (going to) stand on the Word of God. You see, we'll stand on the Word of God for finances, we'll stand on the Word of God for healing, but I tell you what, we need to stand on other areas of the life, so we can walk in the fruit of the Spirit so we can receive the prosperity, so we can receive the healing.
Because as we develop the fruit of the Spirit and the character in our life that's when we will receive the healing, that's when we'll receive the power of prosperity, because it's some of those areas in our life haven't walked, let us walk into the fullness of what God has for us to bless us abundantly, and we wonder why our faith doesn't work.
And God's given to us a way, even if it's a tiny little area, that we can be free from it. Because we often know the big areas, and we overlook the little areas that hold us back from walking on in the victory in the things that God wants us to. God wants us to walk in a realm of that Kingdom mentality, because it's all these little things that come. Somebody will come and drop a bucket of water over you about something, and here you are, you've been on a high, walking with the Lord come out of the anointing and the presence of God. You think "Oh, this is great" and somebody's come along and poured a bucket of water over you. And you think "oh" and then you start to think it. And you think, "Gee, yesterday things were going really good and I was thinking, the presence of God and walking with God and my mentality, and I was saying the Scriptures, and then somebody" and you start thinking on somethin(g) else and you think "Why have I moved away, somethin(g)'s wrong, it's not right."
That's why He said there, 'guard', 'guard this mind'; because I tell you the Devil's after your mind. (The) Thief comes to kill and destroy and defeat but Jesus came that we have life ,and that we have it more abundantly, because He loves us so much.
I want us to look at, let's look at 1.Corinthians 3:11. (long pause…) 'For no other foundation can any one lay than that which is already laid, which Jesus Christ the Messiah, the anointed one. As we seek Jesus and we hunger and we thirst for the things of God, He is the living word.'
We seek Jesus, we hunger for him. We had Gary Schultz here last year, last week and you saw that flag they had up there. 'We hunger and thirst for this land'. You know, we need to hunger and thirst for our lives. Hunger and thirst after the things of Jesus. Hunger and thirst after spiritual things that we're filled, that we know him, that we're filled.
Lets look at John, and we'll take that Scripture and we'll, go from there. John 6 verse 60. You might say "Margaret I've heard all this before". You know when we often say that, we're the ones that's not doing it, and it's so important for us to take hold of the Word of God in this time. John, verse 6, 60. 'When his disciples heard this many of them said 'This is hard and difficult and a strange saying, an offensive and unbearable message. Who can stand to hear it? Who can be expected to listen to such teaching? But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were complaining and protesting and grumbling about it, said to them 'Is this a stumbling block and an offence to you? Does this upset and displease and shock and scandalise you? What then will be your reaction if you should see the Son of Man ascending to the place where he was before. It is the Spirit that gives life. He is the life giver. The flesh conveys no benefit whatever. There is no profit in it. The word's truths that I have been speaking to you are spirit and life. But still some of you fail to believe and trust and have faith. For Jesus knew from the first who did not believe and had no faith, and who would betray him, and be false to him, and he said 'This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him. Unless he is enabled to do so by the Father'. After this many of the disciples drew back, returned to their old associations and no longer accompanied him. Jesus said to the twelve 'Will you also go away, and do you desire to leave me?' Simon Peter answered 'Lord, to whom shall we go, you have the words, the message of eternal life'.'
Look back there in 66 there, 'After this many of the disciples drew back, returned to their old associations'. You know many Christians come in and they go back into the world, and it is so sad, because they get offended, they get hurt, because somebody perhaps in the church, one of the ushers might have said something and they get offended, or they don't like the music, or they didn't like this, and then they go from one church to another and take offence with them, and they never come into the place that God's got for them. The Lord says 'if you have ought with somebody go to the person, deal with it, get it out, clean it up'. And that's the way he's given us away, and it's so simple, and often you find that and love grows stronger and stronger out of that, relationships grow stronger and stronger out of that.
You know rejection comes in people. I remember when the girls and, and, my son were only little. I remember Barry used to be always off to the Yacht Club, did a lot, a lot of sailing; and I had these four little ones and I wasn't well. And I remember he'd go off to the Yacht Club, and, and I can remember how rejection was got hold of me there, and offence was getting into my life because I was thinking "He didn't want to be home with us. Here I am stuck with the four children and he's at the Yacht Club, coming after work every night, and he's out sailing every weekend, he's always at the Yacht Club" and I tell you, that built up and up and I'm talking to some of you 'cos you got areas there and do you know I, I was just learning to get into the Word of God. And I started to say "Lord, forgive me" 'cause I was so hurt, and that was down there, and I didn't communicate it in the way God wanted me to communicate it, and I'd let him know about it! (Congregation laughs ..) Its true. Because I didn't know the knowledge of the Scriptures and the power of the Word.
And I started to say "Lord, that we have favour, that he loves to be home. He doesn't want to be down at the Yacht Club. That we have favour one with another, he'd rather be here with the children and myself. He doesn't want to be at that Yacht Club, Lord. That your love nature is in him." (end tape side one.)
"That I can love. That I can zip my mouth up, that I say nothing". (Congregation laughs). The Word of God is in me because we have to. And you see when we start to zip our mouth up, and say what God says, we let the spirit side come because the natural side, the flesh side says "Oh, I want to shoot from the hip, I'm gunna (going to) let him have it" (congregation laughs), and then you've got to repent, because you go to bed on, on, on your anger and the Lord says 'Don't go to sleep on anger, don't go to sleep on wrath' and it becomes a vicious circle.
And so I used to say "Lord, we're the temple of the Holy Spirit. He desires to be with, he has no desire for that Yacht Club, he doesn't want to go there. We have favour. He loves to be with us. I love my husband, I respect him, and I reverence him, and he loves me as Christ loves the church" And I just started to say that, and a few months later, he started to go less and less. Until the day came, he didn't even want to go sailing any more. (congregation laughs….) It's true. It's true, the girls are here, they can tell you that.
And you work the Word in those areas. But instead of being offensive there, and rejection coming through it and letting it stirring and boiling up within you, and then it affects your whole life, and you think, "Well, why can't I memorise the word? Why isn't the Word of God working in my life? Why isn't the Word a part of my life?" Because we've let that be there. And God wants us to deal with some areas. God wants to take some of you on into places and to walk in victory in your business, in your lives, and if areas are hold in you, in your marriage, or even with your children and, and different areas, you need to take hold of the Word of God and let not, let that have a hold of you.
There in verse 68 and 69 there, 'and Simon Peter answered "Lord, to whom shall we go. You have the words and message of eternal life, and we have learned to believe and trust and more, we have come to know surely that you are the Christ, the anointed one, the son of the living God" '. And if you look in, and I won't turn there because of time, Matthew 16:16 it was Simon Peter, that the Holy Spirit revealed who Jesus was, and it was revealed to him. So he KNEW through the Spirit of God. Where others left because it was offensive to them, others left because they felt that it was, Jesus was coming too hard on them, and it said there that, there in (ah) '"Why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him, unless he is able." After this, many of the disciples drew back'. And they left. But Simon Peter, it was revealed to him through the Spirit of God who Jesus was.
And so when trials, and, and tribulations come, you'll be able to locate where a person's at, because of the words of their mouth. You'll know. Simon Peter, he gave the answer. He knew who Jesus was, and as long as we keep the answer out there, and we press on, and we know Jesus Christ is the Lord of our life, that He is our first love. And when we are seeking on and we are hungering after the things of righteousness He says 'Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and you shall be filled.' And when we are hungering after Him, and when we are pressing into Him, if we're lukewarm, He said he spews us out. So when you are looking to Jesus and you come to Jesus and you say "Jesus reveal yourself. Lord Jesus, reveal your word to me. Lord, I, I press into you. I want to know you. I want to know you in my business. I want to know you in my family. I want to know you where there's been hurts in my life, where I've been held captive. Where, where things have gone wrong in my life, Lord, and I keep making mistakes. Lord Jesus help me, Holy Spirit, you are there."
Because he's our teacher. He's our comforter. He's our helper. He's our intercessor. He's our strengthener, and he lives in you and you're kings and queens, and it says in the Scriptures 'You're a royal priesthood and you're a chosen generation." And you know things come in my life, we're human, things come, things come at my life, just like they come at your life. But if I don't do something about them, Satan will cause you to stumble and fall, and so every day we are judging our lives, we're walking with the Lord, we're walking in the, in the Word of God, that it's spirit, it's life, that it's healing, that it's deliverance to you, because he loves you so much. He says 'You're a royal priesthood, a chosen..'. You're God's army. God wants you strong. He doesn't want any little thing coming, and holding you captive, and pulling you down. He wants every one of you so strong in your life that you're victorious mentality.
It was interesting. We were praying, and I'll just finish on that, the other day and, we were saying we need more room for children's areas and, and we were in prayer just in our pastoral team and, and (ah) we were going and saying 'where could we fit this and where could we fit that' and we'd like to have some people to - because we have pre-service, we have (um) musicians that have children, we have ushers that have children, we said "We'd like somebody to, to help or to do something with, just pre-service in the, in children's and not through the service but just pre-service and (um) some time ago we were talking about, about, you know those mobile, what are they .. at Hungry Jacks, they have those play grounds? And, (ah) I,I hadn't thought of it for a long time, and I said, "out the front there where the glass is down stairs, it would be lovely if the parents could look out, and the children after, when they are having tea and coffee, could have something out there to play with it; " and we were just praying and everybody and I said "Well why can't we pray?" and, you know, I actually saw a picture of one of those out the front, down there where the glass is. I saw the picture of it. And the Lord said 'Hadn't a long time ago you sort of, thought about it, and thought it would be a great idea?' He said 'Why don't you get a Kingdom mentality and believe me for it? And starting saying it and seeing it'.
That is so real in my spirit, that I see it because the Holy Spirit put it there, and that's how he wants us to walk in life. 'Holy Spirit, show us.' And we were looking in all these other areas, how we could work this and how … He said 'Well, have Kingdom mentality. Believe me, trust me' and, I tell you, when you see that in your spirit, you know it's going to happen. And you start to get it, and that's how you start to walk in life. And that's why 5 or 6 years you start to speak it, you start to see it and then one day it becomes very real to you in the spiritual realm. Its more real than the natural realm because it's spiritual things first, then natural.
And the same with areas in your life where there's offence, hurt, there's been anger, you start speaking the answer, and that'll just get washed away. Just like you pour in some medicine to hit antibiotics or something, to hit the flu or the virus or some'm, (something) and you pour it in there, and it kills it off. Well that's what God's Word does, exactly the same way, only it doesn't miss, it's not miss and hit. It happens. And He wants us to know that. And that spiritual realm is more real than, it was always, spiritual first, then natural. And we bring it from the spirit into the natural. We bring it in, that it becomes a lifestyle. We bring it in, that strife doesn't have a hold of you any more. We bring it in to us that offence doesn't have a hold of you, that anger will have no more a hold of you, that lack will have no more a hold on you. That you start to get that Kingdom mentality and it all starts there. 'As a man thinketh, so is he' And so this is why we guard this area, and what we are thinking is what we will be believing, and what we'll be believing, is what we'll be saying, because it becomes such a part of our life, and what you hear is so important 'Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God'.
Let's just bow our heads there.
(Prayer tone.) Father, we just thank you. We just thank you for your Word, Father. And Father, that the Word of God is alive to us. And Father, I just thank you that people hunger after your Word as never before, and hunger after the Spirit as never before, because I thank you Jesus, I believe that we're walking in the times where we need to know the Word and the Spirit. Such a reality to it. Such a, a life to us. That it is more real than the person sitting next door to them. That spiritual things are more real than natural things, because spiritual things were first, and then natural. And everything that has come into the earth, has come from the spirit into the natural.
And Father, I just thank you that your heavens are open this morning, Father. That you pour out your blessings on your people, Father. That they hunger and thirst after you and they shall be filled. And Father, I thank you for your Word. And I just thank you, Father, where there has been lukewarmness in some people's lives, Father, that they go out of here today, Father, seeking your face, seeking you in prayer, seeking you in the Word. Listening to tapes, reading your Word, Father, meditating it, learning a new Scripture every day, that it be life to them, Lord. Because there is power in your Word and you're in the life changing business. And that you undergird them and that you lift them up. 'It's not by might and it's not by power but it's by your Spirit', and Holy Spirit, that you reveal that you're the divine person within them, that you're there when they walk across the road, that you're there when they go to bed at night, that you love them. There to lead them and guide them and teach them.
And Lord, I just thank you for your love in this place, and your compassion and your mercy, and your miracle working power. Even as the people, Father, they are seated in their seats, that Holy Spirit, that you'll move on their life, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. That every tongue rises up against them shall be condemned. That they know your presence in their heart. (pause)
I just thank you, Lord Jesus. You're the deliverer.(pause). I just thank you, Lord. (pause) Spiritual things are more natural than natural things. (pause). I just sense in my spirit, somebody out there that the Lord is saying to you, that you need to forgive. It's like a cancer within you, it's been eating away at you. It's bringing a hardness, it's bringing bitterness in your life. If you don't deal with it, you'll be very sorry. Life won't be worth living, because you are letting it take root in your life, and there's still time, but don't let that root go any further and any deeper, because it will hold you from going on in what God's got for you.
(whisper). I just thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. (pause)
There's somebody else there, I'm just giving, as the Spirit of God gives it to me, you, you manipulate to get your own way. And the Lord's saying 'don't do that. Deal with that manipulative spirit because it's a spirit, and you've done it since you've been a very small child, and you need to deal with it and you know about it. Even in your wife and your family, you do it'. You need to deal with it and break the power of it over your life, and say "That's the end of it, I'll never do it again". Because you wonder why it affects things in your life, don't go the way you want to. It's because you're manipulative in your family and the Lord's telling you to stop it. And then you're gunna (going to) find a great peace in your life, and you'll, and you'll see the spiritual area much more clearly, because you've wondered "Lord, why I, I stand and I speak the Word, and I do the Word?" The Lord says to deal with that area of your life and you're gunna (going to) see a great freedom and, and a clarity and, and you'll see the things of the spirit, and the Word will become more and more real to you, and it will become alive to you. Because 'Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world'. Thank you Lord Jesus. The Holy Spirit will be revealing to you who you are. No body needs to know. I just thank you, Lord. (long pause)
Some have wondered why they haven't got any joy. The Lord is just saying 'Check up some of the little areas'. If He's got your joy, He's got your faith. Just check, check those areas, check the fruit of the Spirit. Do a maintenance check on your life. See if those areas are functioning. Because it's by grace, through faith. It's not through your works, it's by grace through faith. Hallelujah, Lord. Just thank you, Father.
Love is the way and the only way. We walk in love, you'll have peace. You walk in love, you'll have the blessings of God. Walk in love that you'll know your God. Just thank you, Lord. Hallelujah Lord. (tone change) Musicians, would you come up. (back to prayer tone). We just thank you, Lord. Hallelujah Lord. We thank you, Father for your glory. We thank you for your presence, Father.
I feel as though, in my spirit, I sense in my spirit, its like the Holy Spirit's doin(g) an operation on a few lives out there, and, and allow Him to do that, because when the Holy Spirit moves on your life like that, it's just like a hand coming down and just plucking it out of your life and you say "Holy Spirit, change me" You know the areas. He'll change you. He'll work in your life, because he wants you to have that, that victory. Praise God. Every head just bowed there.
(Music starts quietly.) If you are out today and you don't know Jesus, if I come to you right now and I said "Lord", said to you "If you died right now, where you gunna (going to) go?" And you say "I hope so, I think so" Any doubt there. Don't go out of here today. You are amongst people that love you. Don't go out of here today, not knowing the reality of Jesus, because when you accept Jesus Christ as Lord of your life, you might say "Oh, I've been to church, I go to church all my life", that what, I'm not saying that.
You might say "I lead a good life, I do the right .." I'm not saying that. Because He loves a drug addict, and He loves the alcoholic. He loves the man in the gutter and when they reach out to Him, He says 'Come home, my child, I love you'. He loves us so much. He gave his only begotten Son for us. If that's you, and you don't know the reality, if you died right now, where are you gunna (going to) go, you need to put your hand up right now.
Be bold. It's a step of faith. I was number 1 in the world in sport. I didn't care what anybody thought. I wanted to know Jesus in a deeper way. 'Cause he loves you so much. Is any body out there? just put your hand up and let Jesus come into your heart today. Let Him be REAL to you. Let that miracle happen in that spirit. Any body at all. 'Cause He loves you. I see that hand. Any body else. Be bold. You can put that hand down. Any body else. Jesus loves you, he gave his life for you, if you were the only person in the world, that's how much He loves you.
I went to church for 35 years but nobody told me, I had to believe in my heart and confess with my mouth, and make that quality decision, that commitment in my life. Any body else, just put your hand up right now, be bold, you will come into the kingdom, I tell you. You will know if somethin(g) happened to you, when it happens to you, you'll know if you died tonight, you'll go home and be with the Lord, it will become so real to you. Any body else, just put your hand up. (pause) Let Jesus be real to you. Let that, that love come into you today. Let his nature come into you today.
One more time, any body else, just put your hand up. Let's all just stand there, and that young lady that put your hand up, I want you to come on down the front here, I'm going to pray for you. I tell you, it'll be the greatest day of your life, letting Jesus come into your heart today, it's the most wonderful miracle of all. He loves you so much. Amen. If any body else out there, you want to join her, you just come on down. And if you want to be filled with the Holy Spirit, and a heavenly language. If you want the power of God in your life, if that's you too, you come on down the front now. We need that, to walk in that, knowing his voice. (Tape ends.)
